Backtest
Practise a setup without knowing what comes next
Load price bars and step through them one at a time, or let them play. When your setup appears, place the trade. The replay fills it, and the same journal that reads your live trading reads your practice.

Part of Pro. Every new account gets 14 days of Pro with no card, and until Pro goes on sale it is open on every account.

What it does
Bar replay
Step forward one bar at a time, or press play at 1x, 2x, 5x or 20x and scrub back through the session. You only ever see the bars that have happened.
Real orders
Market, limit and stop orders, sized by quantity, by risk in dollars or by risk as a percentage, with a stop, a target and an optional break-even trigger at a chosen R.
A full charting kit
Candles from your data's own timeframe up to daily, indicators, trend lines, Fibonacci retracements, rectangles, text, a measure tool and long and short position tools.
Sessions you can compare
Group practice into named sessions, like 'NY open pullbacks', each with its own trades, win rate, expectancy and per-setup breakdown.
Kept apart from live results
Backtest trades live in their own account, so practice never inflates or drags your real statistics, and you can still open them in every analytics page.
Your data stays with you
Bring your own bars as a CSV, or try the built-in sample. The bars you load stay in your browser and are never uploaded.
What it will not do
Said plainly, because a journal that overstates itself is the wrong tool for seeing clearly.
- It does not supply market data. You load your own bar data as a CSV, or use the sample.
- A backtest shows how a setup behaved in the bars you tested. It says nothing certain about the future.
Questions
Where does the price data come from?
You bring it: export bars as a CSV from your charting platform or data vendor and load it, or use the built-in sample data to try the replay. The data stays in your browser.
Do backtest trades affect my real statistics?
No. They are kept in a separate backtest account, so your live results are never mixed with practice.
Is backtesting free?
It is part of Pro. Every new account gets 14 days of Pro with no card, and while Pro is not on sale yet, backtesting is open on every account.
